AX200 Plug & Play Ethernet TCP/IP Access Control Features
General Features The AX200 is an Ethernet based (TCP/IP) high-speed controller. Two AX100 intelligent door interfaces can be connected to each AX200 with its modular design, the system can be expanded up to 256 controllers per site with 32,000 cardholders.
The PC software included automatically detects the jumper-less controllers. The extremely small controllers can easily be fitted local to the door and allows connection to existing local and wide area networks using low cost standard CAT5 cabling. This provides an economical way to control doors requiring long cable runs or for remote offices and sites without the need for costly dial-up modems or cabling.
Automatic setup and wizards reduces not only the installation and maintenance time considerably, but also provides the novice or infrequent user guidance to quickly perform a wide range of tasks. The AX200 has been optimised for Wide Area Networks with minimum bandwidth and smart packaging of data to avoid collisions. This optimisation makes it ideal for controlling and monitoring hundreds of remote sites from a central location. Typical applications include supermarkets, offices, utility companies, hospitals, universities and any other organisations with satellite buildings.
Lost or stolen cards can be quickly cancelled or replaced using the card replacement wizard, thus avoiding the need to re-enter all the cardholder data and also will keep track of previously issued cards to all staff. The powerful PC software can hold over 60 database fields per cardholder including photograph, company details, department, personnel data, membership data and vehicle details with search and quick search facilities.
The software provides real-time door status information and direct single action door control from the main screen for online readers and uniquely also provides support for offline low cost standalone controllers from within the same system programmed through the portable data transfer unit. In the event of loss of communication with the access control PC all controllers continue to operate and stores locally the transactions with date and time stamp until communication with the PC is restored and the data is automatically uploaded to the PC.
The graphical time zones can be setup to restrict certain users access outside office hours or weekends and bank holidays whereas other cards can be setup to have access 24 hours / 7 days a week. With 256 time zones per user, selectable per door, even the largest organisations can restrict cardholders in greater detail. The dedicated fire input can be programmed for individual or groups of doors and includes a quick test function. | ||||||
